Place Des Vosges in Paris at 2 minutes from our Hotel

Historical monument since 1954, Place des Vosges is located in the Marais district at the intersection of 3rd and 4th district. This is one of the oldest squares in Paris. Lined with tall buildings of red brick and blue slate roofs, the Place des Vosges was once named “Place Royale” during the reign of Henry IV and “Federated Square”, “Place de la Manufacture des Armes” and “Place of Indivisibility” during the French Revolution. It was not until 1800, in honor of the French department of the Vosges it finds its definitive name.
