Picasso Museum paris

. Work began in September 2011 after a period of study, evaluation, and administrative and technical training, and will last 20 months.

The museum was established in 1985 in the Hotel Salé, the large baroque hotel in the Marais district belonging to the city of Paris, under the supervision of the great architect Roland Simounet. It has welcomed more than 12 million visitors since its opening. The building must now be brought entirely up to code in accordance with current laws, particularly concerning fire safety, the conditions of preventive conservation of national collections, and access for handicapped patrons.
